for anyone that likes tshirts... this site is great.. and the way they allow people to engage each other is great...
SO..there were a lot of other sites that i didnt get to... or are OBVIOUSLY kick ass (like flickr and facebook..) and im soo soo tired... so check out the sites above.. and check out the other main categories they did nominations on like the MOBILE or Interactive Advertising sections...
so very lucky for me to be able to get back to the NTC goodness with all the posts they've put on at blip.tv!! here's a part of David Weinberger's keynote speech about the internet... muy interesante!!
what i found the most exciting is that they recognized that there are so many tools already being used by youth all over the world, that it would be an essential move to allow that content to be able to work with each users profile. so sites like flickr, revver, and your own blog can be integrated into your user page, allowing users to feel that they are not duplicating their efforts when creating a new profile for themselves...
im excited to see what comes next out of taking IT global....
im currently in love with change.org's widgets.. but i cant get them to embed with the embed tool... hmph... guess youll have to go here to check em out...
PS i think i may have realized that i CAN add the widget to this site.... ?!
Nice touch, isnt it?!!
Netsquared has asked 4 questions to anyone interested in looking at how we use technology, and what it will take to get from great non profit ideas to really catalyzing social change. soo... i thought i should try to answer these questions... FIRST, im going to post them here... think about it a while.. and edit this post when i get ideas... its kind of like one of my favorite books:List Your Self...
What's *really* new on the Web, as opposed to buzzwords and soundbites?:
Which tools best embody the new opportunities from your point of view and why?
Who's doing the best work with the new tools (technically or in terms of social benefit or both)?:
What's the bad news? What are the greatest barriers preventing web-based technology from producing social change?:
